What can I have delivered before I arrive?

What we can and cannot accept before you move in

Updated yesterday

Before you arrive

To help you settle in smoothly, urbanest can only accept essential online deliveries such as kitchenware or bedding (duvets and pillows) 1–2 days before your scheduled arrival date.

When arranging these deliveries, please make sure the following details are included:

  • Your full given name (no preferred names)

  • Your room number

  • Your full building address To find your address, please see this article

This helps our team make sure your items are logged in our system stored safely and ready for you when you arrive.

Items we cannot accept before you arrive

We’re unable to accept the following before you have checked in:

  • Suitcases, boxes or furniture delivered in person, sent from overseas or delivered by a storage company

Once you have officially checked in and collected your room key, you’re welcome to arrange delivery of stored items, suitcases, or other personal belongings. Please ensure you’re available in person to receive these.

Important: urbanest does not accept responsibility for any items sent in advance of your arrival. All liability remains with yourself.

Need storage before you arrive?

If you need a place to store items ahead of your move-in, we recommend using Seven Seas Worldwide or Lovespace.

Both offer convenient short-term storage, student discounts, and can deliver your belongings once you’ve checked in.

After you have officially checked into your room

During your stay, you are welcome to have parcels and letters delivered to you.

  • Parcels can be collected from the reception desk or dedicated post room.

  • Letters are delivered by Royal Mail and placed in the flat letterboxes on the ground floor.

To access your letterbox, please collect the key from reception. After checking your mailbox, kindly lock the letterbox and return the key to the front desk.
