We know it’s important to feel at home, and having friends or family visit is a big part of that. Guests are welcome by following the guidelines below, and we manage this in a way that supports the wellbeing and safety of everyone in the building, including limiting numbers when needed.
Guests in shared apartments
If you live in a shared flat:
Out of courtesy please check with your flatmates first before inviting someone to visit or stay overnight.
Overnight stays should not exceed five days at a time, so everyone in the flat feels comfortable.
Your flatmates reserve the right to speak to a team member if they have concerns about your guests. We may ask a guest to leave if needed.
Overnight guests must be 17yro+
During the first few weeks of living together, we recommend not having parents or guardians stay over. This gives everyone time to settle in, get to know each other and feel comfortable in the new shared space.
Guests in studio apartments
If If you live in a studio room:
You’re welcome to have guests stay for a few days.
Please make sure your guest stays with you at all times while inside the building.
Overnight guests must be 17yo+.
Your responsibility
You are fully responsible for your guest(s) and their behaviour and actions, including any damage caused.
You must be in residence at the same time as your guest. If your guest locks themselves out of your room, we would not be able to let them back in. Due to security we're unable to issue your guest with their own key.
If you're requesting for your guest to stay longer than five days, please speak with a member of the management team at reception.
Our Rights
If your guest(s) is disruptive or breaks any of the Terms and Conditions of your Tenancy (e.g., smoking indoors or noise breaches), they may be permanently banned from all urbanest properties.
If complaints are raised about your guest(s), we reserve the right to ask them to leave immediately without notice, and take further action if needed.
